THE DOUGLASS

The Douglass floorplan is named in honor of Eli Douglass, one of the most respected forefathers who arrived in Texas Township in 1836 and settled on 520 acres where he and his wife, Eliza nee Walker raised four children. He serrved as Township Supervisor for 14 years and also as Road Commissioner, Treasurer, Justice of the Peace and Assesor.
